PIRAEUS Securities S.A : Head of Listed Derivatives
2003 to 2011
• Developed an international markets desk, offering a variety of listed financial derivative products (fixed income, equities, equity indices, currencies and commodities)
• Markets Covered: EUREX (as a member of the exchange since 2008), CME, CBOE, EURONEXT, ADEX Equity Derivatives, Currency and Interest Rate Futures and Options in all major markets as well as commodity markets in CME, NYMEX, ICE and IPE.
• Sales and marketing of products to Greek clients (both retail and institutional)
• Offering trading advice and ideas, using technical and fundamental analysis, to clients
• Organising and developing desk: Development of services offered by the desk both front and back office; relationship with international partner (major U.S. bank); order-platform development for existing and new products; pricing policy; back and front office procedures; accounting department issues; outsourced middle-office system for real time risk management in all open positions
The desk started its operation with me and 1 more person as a back office and currently occupies 3 front officers and 2 back officers in shift rotations. Our desk operates every business day from 08:30 till 23:30, from the opening of the European markets until the closing bell of Wall Street and the end of electronic trading of Globex.

Proton Securities S.A. : Equity Derivatives
2002 to 2003
•Developing procedures and programs for the foundation of the Foreign Equity Desk at Proton, as well as the position keeping for clients and the risk management for Proton.
•Building Client’s list and executing both foreign (other than Greek) equity securities and derivative instruments. (11-months)

Hellenic Navy : Military Service
2000 to 2002
•Developing the main database for the Hellenic Navial Base of Salamina in Microsoft Access, for the expenditures created by the fleet’s ships (repairaments and daily costs) as well as for those created by their crew. With this upgraded database the Officer responsible had better Credit control over the expenditures authorised by the Ministry of Defense and a better way of reporting to his senior Officers. (7-months – Department of Financial Services of the Navial Base of Salamina)
•Portfolio management of the Navy’s Pension Fund “Metochiko Tameio Naytikou”. Responsible for the relationships established over the years with the major Greek Banks, largest Greek Securities Firms and Mutual Funds - for the allocation and diversfication of a portfolio worth 12.5 million Euros. For the fiscal year of 2002 created profits from trading Greek bonds worth approximately EUR 300,000.00 and EUR 45,000.00 from investing in Mutual Funds which were used to balance out losses created from the deteriorating equity prices. (11-months)

XIOS Securities S.A. : Equity Derivatives
2000 to 2001
•Developing the Greek Derivatives Desk of Xios.
•Building Client’s list and executing on behalf of Clients Greek equity derivatives.

Soya Mills S.A. : Assistant Treasurer
1999 to 2000
•Responsible for the company’s daily Cash-Flows, reporting to the company’s Treasurer of the daily available cash as well as the date mismatches between the company’s creditors and clients.
• Assisting the Treasurer in managing the company’s exposures on loans in a variety of currencies.
•Creating a dynamic excel spreadsheet for the most accurate and detailed reporting needed for the company’s Board of Directors.
