ISE Stock Exchange Reaches New Daily Volume Record

NEW YORK, September 16, 2008 – The International Securities Exchange (ISE) announced today that the ISE Stock Exchange set a new daily trading volume record of 214.8 million shares on September 15, 2008, surpassing the previous record of 162.3 million shares set on January 23, 2008.

On August 22, 2008, ISE and Direct Edge announced their plans to combine the ISE Stock Exchange with Direct Edge Holdings, the parent company of Direct Edge ECN.
