My client a major global hedge fund are looking to hire a clearing/settlements support person for their Honk Kong office.
Duties
Liaison between their global trading desks, executing and clearing counterparties (including Prime Brokers) regarding trade discrepancies.
Resolution of unmatched trades, fails and related settlement issues.
Daily matching of trade confirmations and further automation of trade confirmation process.
Maintain global handover spreadsheet which identifies open issues and items which need immediate attention.
Assist in the set-up of new executing counterparty accounts.
Research and gather current market information.
Develop and maintain Prime Broker relationships with their regional offices.
Support London/Chicago operations with month-end closing process.
The ideal candidate will have:
Five years experience in securities operations environment preferred.
Excellent knowledge of :
AsianEuropean corporate actions (primarily voluntary and mandatory offers)
Asia and European financial markets and financial security instruments
Securities lending, prime brokerage, OTC-swap, market trading practices and position processing
