Trader – Proprietary Energy Trader, London

Our client is a globally operating multi-asset proprietary trading company that is looking to develop their commodities operation in London. In particular they are looking to expand into new products within global energy markets and require an experienced trader to work across the energy complex, trading exchange traded derivatives.

Responsibilities for Proprietary Energy Trader, London, Salary: Highly Competitive, (Energy, Crude Oil, Natural Gas, Futures, Derivatives, London, Trader) role:

• Handle a portfolio including a range of energy related derivatives, these will include crude, heating oil and natural gas
• Trade all exchange traded derivatives, both futures and options, and across a range of exchanges, particularly focusing on NYMEX and ICE products
• Capitalize on market volatility to maximize trading revenue
• Trading within designated limits on a proprietary basis
• Provide support to business development and marketing teams

Skills / Attributes required for Proprietary Energy Trader, London, Salary: Highly Competitive, (Energy, Crude Oil, Natural Gas, Futures, Derivatives, London, Trader) role:

• Vice-President to Director level in terms of experience trading the energy complex
• Ideally a broad experience across energy, or specialising in the crude, heating oil or natural gas space
• A proven proprietary trading track record
• Exposure to NYMEX, ICE or other major commodity exchanges
• Experience trading both futures and options
• Be willing to be based in London
