Trader –Grain Trader, Rotterdam

My client is a privately owned trading house that has an increasingly expanding operation within global commodity markets. They are currently looking to expand their operation in a range of areas, with the priority being a grain trader for the Rotterdam office. They are ideally looking for candidates with over three years exposure to trading physical grain’s on the global markets, and someone who has considerable trading experience in the agricultural commodities space.

Within this role your responsibilities will include:

• Trading physical grain on the European markets within a talented trading team.
• Liaise with global offices to ensure smooth flowing operations.
• Acting as a focal point for relationship strategies and issues.
• Play a key role in the expansion and direction of the wheat and maize team in the Rotterdam office.
• Help to develop and support the current grains team.
• Partake in cross commodity trading, and covering other books.

Successful candidates for this role will:

• Have at least three years plus experience trading physical grains on the European markets.
• Have some exposure to physical trading, and be prepared to cover other soft commodity classes.
• Preferably be based in Europe, and have an established client book.
