Our client is an established regional bank which has operated successfully throughout the recent market turmoil. It is continuing with its core business areas and is currently looking to expand its treasury activity by introducing a broader range of products and making better use of the international markets.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The role will involve managing a small team with full responsibility for ALM, managing all market and regulatory risks associated with the balance sheet and liquidity.
A secondary role will be to take modest risk positions in both the GCC and major global interest rate markets using both cash and derivative instruments.
Finally you will be expected to develop the team to ensure they all expand their product and market knowledge.
PERSON/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
The candidate is likely to be working in the GCC markets or one of the major international centres with responsibility for the GCC desk. Either way they must have broad knowledge of the fundamentals driving regional and global interest rate trends, and a solid understanding of money market and debt instruments, both cash and derivative.
