Senior Trader –Senior Rubber Trader, Singapore

My client is a Global leading soft commodities trading house who has an increasingly expanding operation within global commodity markets. They are currently looking to expand their operation in a range of areas, with the priority being a senior Rubber trader for the Singapore office. They are ideally looking for candidates with over ten years exposure to trading physical rubber on the global markets, and someone who has considerable trading experience in the rubber space.

Within this role your responsibilities will include:

• Trading physical rubber on the global markets within a talented trading team.
• Liaise with global offices to ensure smooth flowing operations.
• Acting as a focal point for relationship strategies and issues.
• Be responsible for the prop trading book.
• Reporting to the global head of Asia.
• Responsible for the team and will act as head of desk.

Successful candidates for this role will:

• Have at least seven years plus experience trading physical sugar.
• Have excellent contacts and knowledge of the global rubber markets.
• Have exposure to physical trading as well and experience of running a book.
• Preferably be based in Asia, and have an established client book.
