A minimum of 3 years experience trading metals is required OPTIONS experience or understanding is entirely essential

Exposure to a range of metals would be ideal, however, if you only have exposure to say precious or base metals this is not a problem, as long as you have the options experience also

This is a chance to join a new firm with excellent prospect for the future; opportunities such as this are highly infrequent.

To apply for this role you need to have a proven track record of a positive, successful PNL for the last few years; please state your PNL figures for the last 3 years in your application It is essential that you have experience in actually placing the trades, not just market making There will be varying responsibilities other than just pure trading; looking into the market, suggesting ideas to the analyst you will work alongside

This will be a reasonably low risk operation with a target of 12-15% yearly

It is essential that you are up to date with the markets at hand A solid academic background is desired; be it within economics or more on the quantitative side of things.

To begin with (at the end of quarter 1) the successful candidate will be working as the sole metals trader, working alongside a metals analyst. There will also be traders and analysts within other commodity sectors too carrying out similar operations

Involvement within a relative value fund, arbitrage trading & volatility trading

Languages: You must speak English fluently and be able to read and write the English language also

Location: The role will be located in Connecticut, USA; it is essential that you already have the right to work in the USA to apply for this position as sponsorship is not currently available for this position

Salary: Base Salary: the exact figure will depend upon the successful candidate; they pay market rate with bonus schemes on top. Therefore if you have say 3-4 years experience then the base salary is likely to be circa 100K USD, whereas if you have 15 years experience it will be circa 170K USD. The bonus is given on an individual, discretionary basis; dependent upon effort and revenues produced.
