Financial Data Specialist

My client a private asset manager are looking to hire a Financial Data Specialist for their CT office.

The role will be to support data collection, validation and related data operations, the candidate must be familiar with Unix/Linux environment, bash scripting and common utilities.

The ideal candidate must have an excellent knowledge of C++, and Perl programming and should also be familiar with Object Oriented programming; database knowledge is also a plus.

You must also have a good working knowledge of computer networks, HTTP, CGI, XML, and FTP combined with Software design and implementation skills, design patterns, data structures and basic algorithms.

Database Knowledge/Experience would also be a plus.

Basic knowledge of statistics is also preferred.

The ideal candidates will have strong mathematical/science academic backgrounds,
It would also be advantageous to your application if you have worked within a financial markets company.
