We are currently mandated by a large multi-asset high-frequency prop trading firm who is looking to grow it’s commodity trading group. The firm has a small, but high-calibre energy trading operation and is looking to hire a senior power trader to compliment this team. Candidate’s applying for this role must have a solid experience in the power trading space, either with OTC or exchange-cleared products.

Responsibilities for Proprietary Power Trader, New York, Salary: $120-150k, (Power, Prop, Physical, Financial, OTC, Trader):

· Profitably trading a portfolio of power related products

· Trading of US power to capitalize on market volatility

· Trading both OTC and exchange-cleared markets

· Performing regular market analyses and implementing trading strategies via an advanced electronic platform

· Provide support to business development and marketing teams

Skills / Attributes required for Proprietary Power Trader, New York, Salary: $120-150k, (Power, Prop, Physical, Financial, OTC, Trader):

· Vice-President to Director level in terms of power trading experience

· Experience in both the physical and financial US power markets

· Ideally a broad experience across the US power markets, with the preference for the North East region

· A proven a consistent PNL track record in the power trading space

· Be willing to be based either in New York or Chicacgo
