Our client is an international option trading and market making company; leading liquidity provider on European equity derivatives markets with offices all over the world.

Due to the continuous growth and success of our client, an opportunity for a new Chief Financial Officer has arisen.

In this position you will report directly to the Managing Director and CEO, and will be responsible for managing the Middle Office and Finance teams.

The CFO will be the key leader in structuring the financial department and improve the operations. She/he will handle financial control for all Asia.

Key basic responsibilities:

Finance, accounting & reporting
• Be in control of the financial statements of the Hong Kong group, i.e. Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement.
• Manage the monthly (consolidated) financial closing cycle (2d draft, 5d final) and ensuring accurate and timely reporting to all stakeholders, such as SFC, local/global management.
• Plan and organize efficiently the daily administration, by doing so plan and prepare for a swift and accurate creation and audit of the end of year Financial Statements.
• Integration of Finance systems of the company in HK. E.g. COA, accounting system, procurement policy, payroll, bank accounts (jointly with relevant departments).

Regulatory
• Design directives and develop and implement (jointly with relevant departments) processes and controls to be in accordance with the statutory and regulatory requirements (e.g. SFC, possibly ASIC, Japan FSA) and group processes and procedures.
• For SFC: be in control of the FRR reporting, strive for automation and risk mitigation.

Tax
• Manage accurate and timely reporting to the tax authorities, assist in developing a tax framework for AOHK in cooperation with the relevant departments.
• Maintain excellent relationships with all stakeholders involved, e.g. auditors and advisors, outsourcing partners, tax authorities, regulators (especially SFC), exchanges, clearing houses and overseas offices.
• Manage transfer pricing/intercompany payments between Hong Kong group entities
• Recommending on expansion and refinements to the Asian structure, where possible, to improve its overall efficiency; commenting on the associated tax implications;

Culture
• Pro-actively share information with management and offices abroad. Focus on quality improvement of business processes.
• Pro actively communicate and align projects and tasks with the changing business requirements of stakeholders.
• Communicate in a professional, open and organized way that motivates others. Help form and be part of a cohesive driven team that documents and shares knowledge, works optimally with other departments in Hong Kong, as well as abroad.

Requirements:

• You will need to be a senior finance professional with min 10/15 years post qualification experience

• Significant experience working as a CPA /CA

• Significant experience in working within BIG 4

• Proven experience leading a team;

• Have the ability to influence key decision makers;

• Assertive, high level attention to detail and self starter.

• Superior written and verbal communication skills;

• Fluency in English , Cantonese and Mandarin is required

• Experience in China / HK is required.

• Familiar with Derivatives product is a plus
