Head of Treasury Reporting and Controls

Our client is a successful wholesale and commercial banking group based in Saudi Arabia. It provides a full range of banking services to financial institutions, corporations and individuals.
Within the Bank, Treasury is a dynamic and proactive unit. It is currently looking for a Treasury Reporting & Controls Officer to join a small team with the responsibility of ensuring Treasury activities are carried on in an efficient and correct manner.
Basic Functions
Manage day-to-day control over operational Treasury activities, ensuring that the reporting, policies and operating needs of Senior Treasury Management are being achieved and that Treasury is operating within approved parameters. Primary responsibilities will include:
• Implementing control and monitoring of Treasury systems and activities, including review and follow up of transactions, audit trails and exception reports, minimizing opportunities for fraud and error.
• Execution of the daily, weekly, month-end reporting processes including profitability and treasury control reporting.
• Maintaining integrity of the Treasury reporting records, supporting analyses, and documentation of procedures of Treasury Department.
• Review and implement continuous improvement of processes (particularly in relation to deal flow).
• Ensure the maintenance of operational controls and compliance with audit and regulatory guidelines for all Group Treasury activities.
• Manage control aspects of Disaster Recovery.
• Interpret the data structure of Equation and OPICS downloaded records.
• Develop queries, macros, and prepare reports based on the data received from Information Technology Department (ITD).
• Design, implement, and maintain functions of the database including security and documentation.
• Provide statistical and useful information to various branches and units of the bank, as requested.
• Interface with internal and external resources/customers to resolve questions/problems.
• Ensure all reports and analyses are accurate, complete, and produced within the required deadlines.
• Play an active role in all phases of reporting including customer needs, such as needs assessment, project design, data analysis, report development, presentation of results, network capabilities, and other data analysis as necessary.
The role is based in a treasury environment and there will be significant liaison with front, middle and back offices as well as internal and external customers.
Person/ Experience required:
Candidates are likely to have experience of working in the Treasury area of an international banking group. They must demonstrate knowledge of Treasury systems and products along with sound knowledge of Financial Services and awareness of industry standards, trends, best practice etc. They should also have strong IT skills with a good understanding of Microsoft products and report authoring software.
