Senior Trader, India, GRAINS

Incumbent must be independent, highly driven and passionate in trading commodities and must be able to drive the business, maintain relationships and develop new clients for expansion of business in the Indian commodities market – GRAINS.

Purpose of the job

Leading/developing local trading team, trade successfully and execute all trades properly
Develop domestic grain trade flow
Develop CBOT/DCE market trading strategy
Develop trading relation with govt. agencies
Find opportunities to take positions with limited risk to get benefits

Job Responsibilities:

Job is two-fold – business development and trading – physical & financial, with in depth understanding of risk management.
Develop market trading strategy with the aim to develop and expand the local domestic market – from origins to destinations.
Develop good trading relations with government agencies
Source and develop opportunities to take positions independently with limited risk to get benefits
Market networking to ensure up to date on market conditions/customers to identify early warning signals of risk.
Requirements:
A University degree preferably in Mathematics, Economics, Business or Science. Masters degree would be preferred
8 to 10 years experience in a financial or commodity environment, with trading experience not only in cash but also in futures
Experience in trading and marketing commodities independently.
Ability to communicate well in English and local Indian dialects.
A portable network of contacts that can be brought in and be useful from day one.
Experience in leading and managing teams.
Good knowledge and contacts in origin market as well as with consumer side.
