My client is a top tier bank and has an increasingly expanding operation within global commodity markets. They are currently looking to expand their operation in a range of areas, with the priority being a power and gas shift trader for the London office.
Within this role your responsibilities will include:
· Liaising with power stations, customers and traders to manage short-term positions
· Executing transactions and balancing positions
· Dispatching and optimizing power plants
· Managing scheduling and notification of volumes
· Optimizing income from short-term operations
Successful candidates for this role will:
· Have two years plus experience trading gas and power.
· Have energy sector experience with analytical or commercial exposure to energy markets.
· Have excellent analytical, problem-solving and people skills, together with a keen eye for detail and a methodical approach..
