Workshop 29th March 2010 / Exhibition and conference 30th – 31st March 2010
More than 400 delegates attended Mines and Money Asia 2009 held on 2-5 June at the Four Seasons Hotel, Hong Kong.
Since 1994 there has been a three-fold increase in the global relevance of Asia (measured in terms of share of GDP). The region's importance is accelerating and, to herald the fact, stock markets across Asia anticipate a wave of flotations during the second half of 2009. There are expectations that Beijing will soon allow domestic listings for the first time since last September, and there has also been a steady flow of secondary listings on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange from foreign companies. Christine Lie, vice-president of HKEx's Issuer Marketing Division, confirmed the bullish sentiment and noted this activity will be buoyed by HKEx's plans to ease access to the exchange for exploration companies.
Mines and Money Asia was launched in 2008 and is fast-becoming the must-attend event in the region for the mining industry and is perfectly placed to tap into the Chinese market. Hong Kong itself has over 300 fund management companies operating there making it the fund management capital of Asia. If you are looking for a mining company looking for finance or work in the finance industry looking for that next investment opportunity then Mines and Money Asia will be the event for you.
Mines and Money Asia will bring you:
Leading financiers and mining companies addressing the issues facing the region at the moment
Over 40 exhibiting companies
Free workshop with the Hong Kong Exchange
Ten-minute presentations from leading mining companies
Perfect networking opportunities via lunches, cocktail receptions and extended breaks
