Full Description:
Over the last sixteen years Roger Sepkes, Managing Director of Asdem, has trained staff from most of the major oil companies, trading houses and tanker companies around the world in all aspects of laytime and demurrage, either by in-house seminars or through intensive two-day courses. His objective is to teach the fundamentals and to demonstrate that there are many opportunities to achieve significant financial savings when one has gained a thorough understanding of this complex subject. The course includes comprehensive documentation which is continually updated and is designed as a valuable guide for future reference.

The programme is aimed at the working requirements of analysts who handle demurrage claims on a regular basis as well as anyone, including operations staff, traders, charterers and lawyers, who need to ensure they avoid making costly operational or contractual mistakes.

The course provides a detailed examination of both charter party and contract demurrage. It includes a clear explanation of many problem areas where money can easily be lost, for example when cargoes are traded without sufficient attention to the differences between the terms of sales contracts and the related charter parties. The full range of topics to be covered is listed below. An Asdem training certificate is issued to each delegate on completion of the course.

Asdem usually holds this training course annually in Singapore and three times a year in London. The course will be limited to a maximum of about 20 people. To reserve a place please return the booking form or register on line at www.asdem.co.uk as soon as possible.

Roger Sepkes FEI, Managing Director, Asdem Ltd has had a wide-ranging career during more than 40 years in the oil industry, initially in distribution, shipping and refining with Petrofina in London and Brussels.
