Learn fundamental principles of Islamic finance, major Islamic financial contracts and the conditions for their validity and the requirements for their permissable uses in modern Islamic banking.
Learn major characteristics of some of the Islamic retail (like investment accounts and mortgages etc.), corporate ( eg: working capital facilities etc.) and investment products (like mutual funds and other investment vehicles etc.)
Be able to differentiate between Islamic and conventional products on the basis of Sharia rules governing financial contracting in Islam.
Gain a good understanding of different stock selection criteria being used by different Islamic investment funds.
Develop a basic understanding of how to structure Islamic financial products with the help of classical Islamic contracts.
